Prologue: Ready For The Off

All the months of planning are almost over as we prepare for our 1,000 mile trip from the Howden Office in the City of London to the port at Dover and then through the country side of France to Monte Carlo.

The support van arrived today and we now hope that the our charity and sponsors logo's that we have had printed will stick to the van an will stay there throughout our journey. Owen and Tony will act as our domestiques for the trip carrying out driving, feeding and mechanical duties.

We have an International group of riders that are joining us from the USA, Poland, Czech Republic, Ireland and even Canvey Island! Tim arrived today and we are are looking forward to everyone being assembled for the Grande Departe on Thursday morning

I have had the traditional go faster haircut that I have before these trips and as each year goes by I worry whether it will grow back to it's former glory (not!).
